Carey Clayton brings Texas-strong toughness to Arkansas up front
In the 2025 season, Carey Clayton anchored Southlake Carroll’s offensive line for a team that went 14-1, and Arkansas signed him as a three-star interior lineman with ESPN ranking him the No. 9 center nationally. He looks like a fit for a power-based system: 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, technically sound, battle-tested against high-level Texas competition, and recognized as District 4-6A Offensive Lineman of the Year. The extra juice? He also brings track-and-field explosiveness, which usually means better functional leverage and movement for an IOL.
