size, rim energy, and upside in a limited freshman role
In the 2025-26 season, Ben Winker was a low-usage freshman forward for Cal State Fullerton who appeared in eight games, posting 7 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes. The value here is the frame and foundation: at 6-foot-10 and 230 pounds, he brings legitimate interior size, plays with strong academic/character marks, and already showed he can rebound in short bursts. He’s more of a long-view fit than an instant box-score swing, but for a staff needing size, development upside, and a high-floor personality, he’s a tidy little project with real room to grow.
