Makayla Lecky brings starter’s grit and swing-and-miss upside for Lafayette
In the 2026 season, Makayla Lecky has been used as a key pitcher for Lafayette, with recent results showing she can handle bulk innings but also that consistency has been uneven as the Leopards have leaned on her in tough spots.[2][3][8] Her calling card is competitiveness: as a freshman in 2025 she earned wins with complete-game and near-complete-game efforts, including a three-hit shutout-style outing against Colgate and a strong start against Holy Cross, showing she can compete deep into games when in rhythm.[9][10][13] If your staff values a tough right-hander who can soak up innings and battle through adversity, she fits; if you need a polished, low-walk strike-thrower right now, the profile is still developing.[2][9][12]
