Marissa Moffett brings contact speed and outfield reliability to Illinois State
Marissa Moffett is a **defense-first outfielder** who showed real bat-to-ball impact in high school, hitting .364 with a .429 on-base percentage, 40 hits, 37 runs, and 28 RBIs in 38 games in 2024-25; at Illinois State in 2026, she has been used as an outfield option and has posted a clean defensive line in limited action, including 12 putouts without an error. She looks like a fit for a team that values **speed, consistency, and pressure on the bases**, with enough competitive edge to contribute as a dependable depth piece and eventual everyday outfielder.
