UC Irvine's Scoring Forward with All-Big West First Team Honors
Collin Welp, a Seattle-born forward for UC Irvine, stands out as the Anteaters' leading scorer (15.1 ppg) and top rebounder (7.6 rpg) during his standout season, earning All-Big West First Team and NABC All-District 9 Second Team honors[2]. His differentiators include elite intensity—evidenced by a 30-point, 8-rebound Player of the Week game[6]—and a rare blend of physicality and scoring versatility that transcends stats. Welp's personality is marked by relentless drive and team-first leadership, making him a high-fit for any team needing a reliable, intense forward who elevates under pressure. No major injury history is noted, and his career-high 31-point game in 2019[1] underscores his ceiling. You should care because he delivers consistent, high-impact performances that translate to wins[2][6].
