Samuli Nieminen brings Finland-tested versatility to Stephen F. Austin
Samuli Nieminen is a 6-foot-4 forward from Helsinki who offers a compact, team-first profile: efficient scoring touch, solid rebounding for his size, and enough perimeter skill to fit into modern lineups. ESPN lists him at 2.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 45.5% shooting, which suggests a low-usage but efficient role player rather than a high-volume option. His background with Finland’s basketball pipeline and FIBA youth competition adds value as a disciplined, experienced piece who can compete physically and adapt to structured systems.
