Jack Welsch is emerging as a versatile lefty weapon for Stonehill
In the 2026 season, Stonehill sophomore LHP Jack Welsch has been a useful bullpen piece with a 3.57 ERA over 22.2 innings, 22 strikeouts, and a 1.72 WHIP, plus a scoreless 2.2-inning outing against Merrimack and his first collegiate save against Norfolk State.[1][2][11] The big differentiator is profile fit: he’s a 6'0", 180-pound southpaw who can miss bats, handle leverage, and give the Skyhawks multiple clean innings when needed.[1][13]
