Tucker Meredith brings lefty upside, but the freshman season has been a grind
In the 2026 season, Presbyterian freshman LHP Tucker Meredith showed strikeout ability but struggled with command and results, finishing 1-4 with an 11.65 ERA over 17.0 innings and 17 walks against 16 hits allowed. He still flashed promise by recording his first collegiate win on March 31 with two scoreless innings and two strikeouts, and his high-school résumé featured a 1.91 ERA with 121 strikeouts in 82.2 innings. The fit question is simple: if a staff wants a young left-hander with real arm talent and patience for development, Meredith is intriguing; if it needs immediate polish, he’s still a work in progress.
