Talmadge Davis is a power righty flashing ace upside for Jackson State
In the 2026 season, Talmadge Davis emerged as a swing-and-miss starter for Jackson State, highlighted by a nine-inning, one-hit complete game with a career-best 15 strikeouts against Alcorn State[2][13]. At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, the sophomore right-hander brings size, a right-right frame, and enough bat-missing ability to project as a high-upside fit for teams that value power pitching and mound presence[4][14]. The buzz is real: he was also assigned to the Appalachian League All-Stars in 2026, a strong sign his arm is getting noticed beyond campus[3][11].
