Ezekiel Richards brings NAU a true rim-protecting big with steady, low-usage value
Richards is a 6-foot-10 center whose calling card is defense and interior size: he averaged 4.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 2022-23, led Northern Arizona with 32 blocks, and ranked fourth in the Big Sky in blocks. His best-case fit is a team needing a physical paint anchor who can finish around the rim, protect the rim, and change shots without needing touches. The upside is clear, but the offense is still complementary rather than featured, so he fits best as a defense-first frontcourt piece.
