steady two-way guard and a proven secondary scorer for WNMU
Natalie Magallanes, a 5'7" guard from Midland Legacy, has already shown she can impact Western New Mexico in multiple ways; in the 2025-26 season she averaged 8.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while leading the team in steals at 2.5 per game, and preseason coverage pegged her as a key returner and scoring spark. Her appeal is clear: she brings energy, activity on defense, and enough shot-making to help stabilize a lineup, though her efficiency was modest in 2025-26 (.336 FG, .299 from three), so she looks best as a high-motor, complementary guard rather than a pure volume scorer.
