Central Michigan Guard with Untapped High School Pedigree
Derrick Richardson Jr., a guard for the Central Michigan Chippewas, posted modest 2025-26 stats of 2.4 PPG, 1.8 RPG, 0.4 APG, and 39.7 FG% in limited minutes, but his high school shine at Ypsilanti—9.0 PPG, 3.0 APG, 2.5 SPG over 17 games in 2011-12—hints at latent playmaking and defensive intensity. As a transfer portal name in ESPN's top 100 fits, he's a developmental gem with quickness and steal savvy, ideal for teams needing bench spark and upside without immediate star pressure.
