Kaden McIver brings length, edge and a workman’s fit to Louisiana Tech’s front
In the 2026 season, Kaden McIver is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound junior defensive lineman for Louisiana Tech who gives the Bulldogs a leaner, more versatile front-body type than a classic plugger.[6][11] He arrived via Diablo Valley College after signing with Tech in January 2026, and early 2026 coverage shows him already active in the rotation, including a tackle in the opener against Northwestern State.[5][3] The sell is his frame, motor and developmental upside; the caution is that he still looks like a projectable DL rather than a finished pass-rush monster, so he fits best for a program willing to coach up ceiling.[7][12]
