La'Vell Wright brings veteran burst, power, and touchdown punch to WKU's backfield
Wright is a 2025 Western Kentucky senior/graduate-transfer back who profiles as a compact, physical runner at 5-11, 222, with proven finishing ability near the goal line and enough burst to hit explosive plays; in 2025, he logged 85 carries for 471 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns plus 10 catches for 88 yards, and the most interesting part is the context: he has bounced through Kentucky and Austin Peay before landing at WKU, then produced immediately. If your team wants a tough, experienced back who can score and handle contact, he’s a very real fit.
