Luke Scales brings veteran pop, steady bat-to-ball skills, and captain energy to Bellarmine's infield
In the 2026 season, Luke Scales hit .265 with an .802 OPS, 8 home runs, and 31 RBI for Bellarmine, then finished his career ranked second in the program’s Division-I era in both hits and RBI[2][3][7]. A senior infielder from Owensboro, he’s a right-handed hitter who has shown real middle-of-the-order punch, including multi-homer games and big-series production, while also earning Academic All-District recognition and serving as a team captain[1][6][12][14]. If a roster wants a dependable, experienced infielder with game power and leadership swagger, Scales is the kind of glue-and-thunder combo that makes coaches smile.
