Carter Metz brings efficient, pass-first guard play to Southern Arkansas
In the 2024-25 season at Walters State, Carter Metz shot 49.5% from the field and 52.2% from three while starting five of 29 games, which tells you he’s a high-efficiency perimeter threat with real playmaking feel. Southern Arkansas coach Mark Rutledge praised his IQ, toughness, integrity, and “pass first mentality,” and Metz also carried a 3.80 GPA in business administration, a nice little indicator of discipline off the floor. For a team needing a steady guard who can space the floor, move the ball, and fit a winning culture, he looks like a strong plug-in piece.
