Jacob Gillis is Ball State’s right-handed power bat at first base
In the 2026 season, Gillis emerged as a middle-of-the-order force for Ball State, hitting .312 with a .889 OPS, 10 home runs, and 48 RBI in 53 starts, while earning First Team All-MAC honors at first base. He brings loud right-handed power, run production, and size at 6-5, 240, and he already showed he can carry a lineup in bursts—like his early-season power outburst and MAC Co-Player of the Week nod. If you want a big-bodied, bat-first first baseman who can punish mistakes, he’s your guy.
