James Reese brings steady, strike-throwing depth to Lafayette’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Lafayette senior RHP James Reese logged 19 relief appearances, going 1-1 with a 4.35 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 20.2 innings, while also earning Academic All-District honors[3]. He’s not the flashiest arm, but he gives you veteran mound presence, right-handed depth, and enough strike-throwing to keep innings moving; his background also hints at real baseball IQ, since he arrived as a two-way, high-producing prep arm with a no-hitter and captaincy on his résumé[2]. If you want a dependable, coachable bullpen piece with academics and competitiveness checked off, Reese is a solid fit[2][3].
