JUCO-to-OU outfielder still carving out his role
In the 2026 season, Gerardo Prado is a 6-foot-3, right-handed-hitting outfielder for Oklahoma with Puerto Rico Baseball Academy and Amarillo CC roots, but his on-field impact has been limited so far: he appeared in 11 games and hit .091 with one RBI and a .358 OPS[4][5][6]. The upside is still obvious — he’s a big, athletic JUCO import with a Power 4 pedigree and the kind of background that often brings tools and ceiling — but at this stage he profiles more as a development play than an immediate stat-sheet popper[2][7][14].
