Big-bodied Gamecock TE built for dirty work, not just box-score glory
In the 2026 season, Max Drag profiles as a sturdy, blocker-first tight end for South Carolina at 6-foot-4 and 248 pounds, bringing experience from Appalachian State, UCF, and now the Gamecocks. He has appeared in 23 career games with four catches for 30 yards and a touchdown, and current roster/depth-chart coverage points to him as a depth piece who helps in multiple-tight-end sets rather than a featured receiver. If your team wants a reliable, physical, hometown-transfer TE who can help in the run game and do the unglamorous stuff, Drag fits the bill.
