UTEP outfielder with value beyond the box score
Leon is part of a UTEP softball group that has shown flashes of fight in 2026, including a walk-off win in the Miners’ Sunday split, but the program has also faced tough results against stronger opponents. Her fit appeal comes from being an outfielder in a roster looking for steady defense, speed, and energy—traits that matter in close games even when the offense is uneven. Reliable public stat detail on Leon is limited in the available reports, so the clearest takeaway is her role as a depth-and-upside piece on a team still searching for consistency.
