Freshman Catcher/Outfielder with Championship Intensity and Defensive Versatility
Isabel Carda, a 5'10" freshman catcher/outfielder for the South Dakota Coyotes, delivered a standout 2025 season with a .400 batting average and .900 OPS in limited play, while showcasing elite intensity by helping South Dakota clinch the program’s first Summit League tournament title with four wins in four days. Her differentiators include rare defensive versatility (C/OF), a fearless tournament mindset, and a high-energy personality that elevates team morale—traits not captured in stats. Though she recorded only two hits in 25 games, her .500 OBP and one stolen base reflect smart baserunning. No injury history is reported. Carda is a strong fit for teams needing a versatile, battle-tested freshman with championship DNA and the grit to perform under pressure.
