Dejounte Murray’s UW legacy: a rangy, two-way guard who stuffed the stat sheet
In the 2015-16 season at Washington, Dejounte Murray was a high-motor freshman guard who started all 34 games and averaged 16.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.8 steals, while leading Pac-12 freshmen in scoring, assists, and steals.[1][6] What made him pop wasn’t just the numbers: he played with edge, attacked the rim, and brought rare length and playmaking for a guard, even if his outside shot was still developing.[6][13] He’s best for a team that wants a tough, disruptive creator who can impact both ends and carry a lot of the connective tissue in the offense.[1][6]
