Colorado State’s Olivia Schmidt is a versatile freshman arm with poise and upside
Olivia Schmidt, a right-handed pitcher/infielder for Colorado State in the 2026 season, looks like a steady, coachable utility piece who can help in the circle and on the dirt. She’s already been used in relief and as a spot pitcher, including outings of 1.2 scoreless innings against New Mexico State and a brief clean appearance against San Diego State, showing strike-throwing ability and calm under pressure. CSU also highlights her mechanical-engineering mindset, academic discipline, and toughness—nice tells for a player who can grow into a bigger role.
