David Spruiells brings proven ball production and tackle range to Tarleton State
Spruiells is a feisty, productive defensive back who flashed early as a true freshman at Northern Arizona in the 2023 season, posting 59 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, an interception, and two pass breakups in 11 games, with eight starts. Tarleton State’s own bio says he combines that production with a strong pedigree from South Oak Cliff, where he was an all-state, district Defensive MVP and helped win back-to-back state titles. At 5-foot-8, he fits best as an energetic, physical DB whose playmaking and intensity can outweigh size concerns.
