Louisiana Tech’s rising ace with strikeout punch and Friday-night poise
In the 2025 season, Brooks Roberson was Louisiana Tech’s Freshman of the Year after going 5-4 with a 4.90 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 71.2 innings, and he flashed his ceiling with outings like a nine-strikeout, one-run start against Jacksonville State. He’s a 6-foot-4 righty who works deep, competes hard, and already drew praise as a “really good pitcher” from opponents, but the walk totals show there’s still some polish needed. If your team wants a young starter with real swing-and-miss stuff, mound presence, and room to grow, he’s absolutely worth caring about.
