UCF’s long, physical paint presence with real shot-blocking chops
Staphon Blair stood out for his size, rim protection, and efficient finishing: UCF listed him at 6-foot-9 and nearly 250 pounds, and his career profile shows elite defensive impact with 114 blocks, a .582 field-goal percentage, and a 2014-15 single-season shooting mark of .609.[1][3] In his senior season at UCF, he averaged 3.0 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting .554 from the field and ranking fourth on the team with 15 blocks.[1] The fit is clear: he’s a sturdy interior defender and low-maintenance role big who brings energy, toughness, and paint presence rather than high-usage scoring.[1][2]
