Emily Baumes is a contact-first spark plug who keeps UMass Lowell moving
In the 2026 season, Emily Baumes has been a steady table-setter for UMass Lowell, hitting .280 with 42 hits, 18 RBI, 25 runs, 7 doubles and a .327 on-base percentage across 50 appearances. She stood out early by earning back-to-back America East Rookie of the Week honors in 2025, and the writeups consistently highlight her bat-to-ball skill, timely extra-base hits, speed on the bases, and reliable defense in the infield. If a team wants a scrappy, high-energy infielder who can get on, move runners, and play with confidence, Baumes fits the bill.
