Win Gurney’s bat is starting to flash at LMU
In the 2026 season, Win Gurney has shown real upside as a right-handed corner bat for Loyola Marymount, with early-game power, extra-base potential, and a clutch first career home run against Abilene Christian that helped seal a shutout win. He’s a 6-foot, 218-pound freshman OF/1B who brings a physical profile, some speed on the bases, and enough damage-contact to project as a useful middle-of-the-order fit if the hit tool keeps maturing. The intrigue is real: big frame, growing confidence, and a feel for timely swings.
