Jaire Rawlison brings slot-ready toughness to WVU
In the 2025 season at Kent State, Jaire Rawlison started 11 of 12 games and posted 54 tackles, 6 pass breakups, and a strong tackling profile, with PFF noting a 85.5 tackling grade and 65.6 coverage grade. He looks like a scrappy, reliable fit for West Virginia because he plays bigger than his 5-foot-9 frame, flashes physical run support, and has the kind of lower-slot instincts that can stabilize a defense in the middle of the field. The caveat: he may be better suited inside than on the boundary, where length can matter more.
