Fordham’s Workhorse Righty Bringing Swing-and-Miss Stuff
In the 2026 season, Chase Hanawalt emerged as Fordham’s weekend-rotation anchor, finishing with 81 strikeouts in 80.1 innings and a 3.84 ERA in Atlantic 10 play while making all 14 weekend starts. He flashed real upside with a career-high 13-strikeout gem against Davidson and also logged a complete-game win, showing the kind of toughness coaches love. The profile here is clear: durable, strike-throwing, and capable of missing bats in big spots—an appealing fit for a staff that values innings, competitiveness, and steadiness.
