Zareh Anchors Lindenwood Defense with Power Potential Despite Batting Slump
William Zareh is a 6'0", 200lb right-handed catcher for the Lindenwood Lions who brings elite defensive stability and a proven power ceiling, hitting five homers with 31 RBIs in 49 games during the 2026 season despite a .222 batting average [1][2]. His differentiator is his intensity and defensive reliability behind the plate, having made 48 starts in 2026 after returning home from Missouri State as a redshirt sophomore [2][5]. While his offensive consistency needs refinement, his physical frame, right-right bat/throw profile, and experience in high-level college play (including D1 Missouri State in 2024) make him a high-upside fit for teams prioritizing defensive leadership and power potential over immediate batting average [3][4]. He is injury-free and displays a 'return home' mentality that signals strong locker room fit [5].
