Freshman Forward with Active Status and Local Roots at Johnson & Wales (NC)
Sydney Wells is a freshman forward listed as active for Johnson & Wales (NC), giving the Wildcats a young, local Charlotte-area piece with room to grow. At 5'7", she is undersized for a traditional frontcourt role, so her value likely comes from energy, versatility, and matchup flexibility rather than pure size; ESPN’s listing confirms her roster status but does not provide game-by-game production, so current performance is hard to quantify from the available data. She is the kind of player to watch if you want developmental upside, hustle, and a coachable fit.
