Isaac Hayes brings a bat-first spark and rising catcher's profile to Norfolk State
Hayes enters Norfolk State as a promising right-handed catcher with a reputation for producing offense, highlighted by a .390 average, .444 on-base percentage, and team-leading hits and RBIs in his 2024 summer season highlights. He’s listed at 6-foot, 210 pounds and projects as a physical, durable backstop who can also handle corner infield work, which adds roster flexibility. The main appeal is his offensive upside and competitive edge; the key question for any staff is whether his defensive receiving and game-management skills keep pace with the bat.
