Spencer McCool brings freshman size and long-term upside to Valpo’s offensive line
In the 2026 season, Valparaiso freshman OL Spencer McCool is listed at 6-foot-6, 285 pounds and already owns the kind of frame coaches love to build around. He entered the program as a team captain in 2025 and a four-year high honor roll student, which hints at a dependable, coachable, low-drama fit in the trenches. The big draw is projection: McCool looks like a developmental tackle with college-ready length and the work habits to stick.
