Cal Poly freshman Daniel Camou brings polish, pedigree, and room to grow on the mound
Daniel Camou enters Cal Poly as a 5-foot-11, 195-pound right-handed freshman from South Hills HS, where he posted a 2-1 record, a 0.58 ERA, and 33 strikeouts in 24 1/3 innings as a sophomore in 2023, and was named an honorable-mention Perfect Game preseason All-American before his 2025 senior year. He looks like a strike-throwing, competitive arm with real projection; his appeal is less about flash than consistency, athleticism, and the ability to keep hitters uncomfortable. If you want a developing RHP who already has a winning résumé and a pro-style mindset, he’s worth a close look.
