ECU’s speed-styled WR is still a blank-slate bet
Mason Scott is a 6-foot, 194-pound third-year wide receiver at East Carolina with a track background that hints at real burst and open-field juice; in high school at Spring-Ford, he posted 81 catches for 1,578 yards and 18 touchdowns over his final two seasons. He walked on to ECU in summer 2025 and did not compete in his first year with the program, so the appeal is projection: a multi-sport athlete with speed, length, and upside rather than proven college production. If you want a developmental slot or depth receiver, he’s intriguing; if you need immediate stats, he’s not the guy—yet.
