Big frame, strikeout upside, but command has been the swing factor
In the 2025 season, the 6-foot-5, 212-pound right-hander flashed bat-missing ability for West Virginia, striking out 11 in 8 innings, but his 9.00 ERA and control inconsistency kept him from locking down a bigger role. He’s the kind of arm coaches like betting on: long, physical, and capable of high-leverage strikeout stuff when he’s in sync. The upside is real; the question is whether his command can catch up enough to turn raw power into dependable innings.
