Davis is an intriguing New Mexico State linebacker because he combines freshman-game experience with rare multi-sport, dual-threat athleticism: in 2025 he appeared in 10 games and posted 21 tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss, after playing 11 games and totaling 24 tackles as a freshman in 2024. His high-school résumé was even more unusual, as he starred as a quarterback while also producing on defense, which helps explain his mobility, field awareness, and competitive feel.
