Baylor’s Zack Wallace has emerged as a steady sophomore RHP with strike-throwing upside
In the 2026 season, Zack Wallace’s calling card has been poise and efficiency: he logged a career-high 6.1 innings with 1 run allowed and 5 strikeouts against Utah, and earlier in conference play he worked 4.2 scoreless, walk-free innings against Oklahoma State. He brings a compact, right-handed frame and a fastball-command profile that fits a starter’s workload, while his early-season swing-and-miss came after arriving from Rowan-Gloucester, where he went 8-0 with a 2.02 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 49 innings. For a team, he looks like a dependable innings-eater with some sneaky competitiveness—more craft than flash, but plenty of usefulness.
