Brandon Martin brings grown-man rebounding and physical edge to UMass
In the 2022-23 season, Brandon Martin was a 6-5 forward who gave Massachusetts toughness, rebounding, and defensive grit, averaging 3.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 29 games (26 starts) while flashing more impact than his box score suggests. He’s the kind of glue guy coaches trust: strong, physical, and willing to do the dirty work, with a proven history of earning minutes at South Carolina and USC Upstate before UMass. If your team needs a high-motor, low-ego forward who helps set the tone, Martin fits.
