Academic Standout Turned Late-Blooming Forward for Northwestern State Demons
Matt Killian, a forward for the Northwestern State Demons, averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds at 38.1% FG in recent ESPN-tracked seasons, emerging as a key starter in his 2014-15 junior year after earning Academic All-Conference honors with a 3.9 GPA. His differentiator is academic excellence paired with gritty offensive contributions from the bench, ideal for teams seeking high-character role players who bring intensity without ego—perfect fit for programs valuing leadership and development over flash.
