Cameron McGee brings compact, efficient guard play to Lamar

In the 2016-17 season, Cameron McGee was a 6-2 guard who offered Lamar a steady, low-usage backcourt option with shooting touch and ball security, posting 3.5 points, 1.3 assists, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.4 steals per game while shooting 36.4% from the field and 33.3% from three.[2][6] His high school résumé hints at the upside: he was regarded as one of Dallas’s top guards and averaged 15 points, 5 assists, and 2.5 steals with a 42% clip from deep as a junior, which suggests a confident playmaker who can score, facilitate, and compete defensively.[1]
