Tristan Dalzell brings premium upside and local-ace traits to Long Beach State
Dalzell is a 6-3, 220-pound freshman left-hander for Long Beach State in the 2026 season, and the early read is loud: he owns real starter upside, especially after a senior year at Los Alamitos where he posted a 1.68 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 54 innings. He was a Sunset League Pitcher of the Year pick, earned USA Baseball development-team experience, and was described by the coaching staff as having a “big presence on the mound” with enough ceiling to grow into a weekend starter. If you want a physical, high-upside arm with strikeout feel and local pedigree, he’s a fit worth watching.
