local linebacker with a long runway at Georgia Tech
Luke Laughter is a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker from Atlanta and a freshman at Georgia Tech, with the Jackets listing him as an active roster player in the 2024-25 cycle and later depth-chart materials still including him in the linebacker room[3][13]. His current profile is more about upside than volume: he’s a young in-state defender with good size for a developing backer, and the clearest stat-backed context is simply that he had no available game-log production in the published 2024 ESPN record[2]. If you’re looking for a high-floor immediate impact star, the sample is too small; if you want a local, developmental LB who fits a program built on growth and physicality, he’s worth keeping on the radar[3][13].
