In the 2003-04 season, Ryan Mantlo was a high-motor Liberty guard who brought a little bit of everything: he started 26 games, averaged 6.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 steals, and helped lead Liberty to an 18-15 record and a Big South title. His best differentiator was impact beyond scoring — he previously posted team-leading assist and steal totals, and he was known as a captain-level competitor with toughness, versatility and leadership traits that translated into winning.
