Bucknell LB John Varischetti: High-upside sophomore with special-teams-ready grit
John Varischetti enters the 2026 season as a 5-foot-11, 215-pound sophomore linebacker at Bucknell after redshirting a reserve role in 2025 without game action. He stands out more for résumé and upside than college stats: a decorated prep defender and multi-sport athlete, he earned 2024 District 9 Combine Linebacker MVP and multiple all-star honors, plus captaincy experience and a football pedigree at home. If you want a hard-nosed, development-friendly linebacker who brings energy, toughness, and a team-first edge, he’s a name worth tracking.
