Charlie Miller has emerged as SIU’s bullpen fireplug in 2026
In the 2026 season, Southern Illinois RHP Charlie Miller has shown real value as a swing-arm out of the bullpen: he threw 4.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts against Murray State and went on a dominant 9.2-inning scoreless stretch, plus a save earlier in the year. At 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, the sophomore brings starter-level size, toughness, and length that play up in relief. If you need a pitcher who can attack hitters, eat innings, and stay calm in leverage, he’s a pretty attractive fit.
