McClain Miller brings bruising, two-way toughness to NDSU’s backfield
McClain Miller is a 6-1, 230-pound redshirt freshman fullback for North Dakota State who arrived after a strong high-school run as a running back and linebacker, including 1,164 rushing yards and 15 total touchdowns as a senior at Northridge. He also has the kind of captaincy-and-special-teams mentality coaches love: physical, reliable, and built to do the dirty work without needing the spotlight. He missed his 2024 season as a redshirt, so the big question is role growth, but his size, versatility, and steady, hard-nosed profile make him a useful fit for a program that values trench-grit and assignment discipline.
