Rantz Payton is a 2026 freshman left-handed pitcher at Eastern Kentucky who brings a pro-sized frame at 6'0", 205 and the upside that comes with being a developing southpaw, but his early college stat line is still a work in progress: 6.0 innings, 0-1, 13.50 ERA, 2 strikeouts and 9 walks. He’s the kind of arm a team looks at for projection and left-on-left value rather than finished polish, so the fit is strongest for a program willing to develop command and consistency.
